 The roots of Simmons and Dodd LLP can be traced back over 40 years ago, when founding partner and native resident of Dorchester County, Raymond H. Simmons Jr., launched a solo practice in Cambridge. Over the years, his reputation for being an unwavering advocate for his clients and an exceptional trial attorney grew into somewhat of a legend.

Many of his clients now call him a friend. Mr. Simmons understands that this business is about people first and the law second. This philosophy has facilitated his unprecedented success.

With prudent growth as a goal, Mr. Simmons entered into a partnership with Eastern Shore native, Michael R. Dodd. Mr. Dodd came to Simmons and Dodd directly from serving as Assistant State's Attorney for Caroline County. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and litigation experience.
